Day 12
Ljubljana-> Budapest

Hello everyone, another successful travel day in the books. Todays email will be somewhat brief because today was our transition from Ljubljana to Budapest. The train ride was about 8 and a half hours long. A good chunk of our day.

This morning Luke and I got up pretty early to go get breakfast. It started raining that last night and was still raining through the morning. Once we got back, I made breakfast while everyone packed up and made sure everything was in order. After eating we went over to the train station and got settled into our seats. It appears that for some reason the Europeans have something against peanut butter. I have only found it in one store and since then we have run dry. As a result, we had honey/jelly sandwiches on the train. They were gooo(not good at all)ooood

Once we got into Budapest, we still had about 30 minutes of traveling to get to our hotel. We got on a city tram and it took us where we needed to go. We also passed by the Hungarian Parliament building.

After getting settled in to the Airbnb we decided to go out and get some authentic Hungarian food. We all ordered drinks, please note the size difference between Luke’s glass and mine… tough

Our food came out shortly afterwards and unfortunately Luke and I were kinda disappointed with this meal. Nathan and Aydan really liked what they got. But Luke and I got the steak and upon the steak coming out it was very well done. Too well done. We were shaking the table trying to cut through it. Unfortunate. It would have been yummy.

We went home to regroup and see where we should go that night. We landed on this place called Morrisons 2. It looked like the only place that was open on a Monday. Upon getting inside we realized how cool this place was. You go downstairs right away into the basement, it is a maze of 8 different dance floors, a karaoke room, game room, and many bars located all throughout.

Funny enough, I also met up with a friend of mine who is currently a Chico state student. We both happen to be in Budapest this summer at the same time.

It was a fun night. Now we are back home and my eyes are fighting to close. It’s about 3:30am as I’m finishing this up and now it’s big bed time. Tomorrow we go cave diving.

If you have made it this far, thank you and you will hear from me tomorrow : )
