Day 15
Budapest to Vienna

Hello everyone and welcome back. Today was a somewhat sad day, we are now down to just the two of us.

We had an early wake up call because Aydan and Nathan had a flight to catch. We all got up and ate a little breakfast before sending off the boys. It was a little sad that 2 of us were going home and 2 will continue. I called them a taxi and we went our separate ways : /

But the adventure goes on. We are only 1/4 done! Luke and I went back and got ready for our turn to head out. We hopped on a train to Vienna, Austria. New city, new country, new language, new food, very exciting.
This is also our first time staying in a hostel. Up until this point we have been staying in Airbnb’s.

Once we dropped off our stuff and got checked in, we wanted to go check out some things and get food. We went downstairs to head out anddd… it was dumping rain. Kinda out of nowhere. We decided to play chess until it died down. After a few games it had gone from dumping to your average thunderstorm. Still a good amount but not crazy. We decided we could save some time and rent some scooters to get there faster. We did in fact get their faster, but the rain didn’t seem to care.

We got some traditional viennese food and then in standard tradition got gelato. I bought an umbrella while we were out and so we were equipped to walk back home.

Once we got back we played chess in the lobby until we met a Canadian hockey player named Jack and a teacher from Missouri named Hannah. We talked with them for a while and then went to get a late dinner. After that we tried out a couple of bars to see if there was any dancing. Unfortunately we didn’t have much luck tonight. Tomorrow we are going to try a different spot and hope for a better result.

Tomorrow will likely be a more eventful day. It’s a little after 1am as I am finishing this one up. Goodnight everyone.

If you have made it this far, thank you and you will hear from me tomorrow : )
